Global Winter Wonderland Returns to Tulare County Fairgrounds

TULARE ­ – After a successful debut in 2015, Global Winter Wonderland will return to the Tulare County Fairgrounds with all-new illuminated displays.

The display of massive light structures and entertainment will open Nov. 25 and will be open select days through Jan. 8. For details, visit

The theme this year is “Magic of the Seasons,” featuring displays that reflect the magic of all four seasons. Global Winter Wonderland will also unveil its new mascot, Penny.

Winter features fairies, snowmen and a winter castle. Spring unveils oversized flowers, mushrooms, beetles and more.

Summertime will feature an undersea maze. Fall will include an autumn harvest come to life, with an enchanted forest and a pumpkin patch.

The Circus of Light will return, with high-energy performances every night, included in the cost of admission.

The 2016 edition will also include the return of some of the favorite light sculptures from the 2015 show, along with pictures with Santa, international food and carnival rides.

The massive lanterns of Global Winter Wonderland are made with an iron frame, draped in silk. In addition to steel and silk, the lanterns are created with recycled materials.
