En Vogue brings R&B hits to Tulare County Fair

TULARE – En Vogue, considered one of the top female acts of all time, will perform on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Tulare County Fair.

En Vogue has sold more than 20 million albums and has amassed over 26 million YouTube views on their top six hit singles, which include “Hold On,” “Don’t Let Go,” and “Whatta Man,” featuring Salt N Pepa. They have been performing for over two decades, including appearances on the Grammys, Saturday Night Live and the Super Bowl, along with performances for U.S. troops in Iraq.

The Tulare County Fair appearance is just one stop on En Vogue’s world tour. Concerts previously announced are Gin Blossoms on opening night; WAR on Thursday, Sept. 15; and Colt Ford on Friday, Sept. 16. All concerts begin at 8 p.m. on the Budweiser Stage and are free with gate admission.

The Tulare County Fair runs Sept. 14-18. Fair admission is $8 for adults; $5 for children ages 6-12.

The fair will offer live local entertainers; new food booths; a two-night monster truck spectacular; a huge carnival with new rides; a carnival area just for young children, and a wide variety of free entertainment. Carnival wristbands are available for $20 in advance of the fair or $30 after Sept. 14.

Sculptors, bakers, florists and farmers are encouraged to enter their work for display at the fair. The competitive indoor entry application form is available online. The deadline has been extended to Aug. 26, in order to accommodate school schedules. However, livestock entries are due by Aug. 5 (no exceptions). A processing fee of $5 per exhibitor will be charged for online entries; the fee for hand-delivered entries is $10. The fees help offset the cost of providing displays for the enjoyment of fairgoers.
