Tulare County Fair opens with strong attendance

Opening day for the 96th annual Tulare County Fair generated a 13 percent increase in the carnival, a 9 percent increase in parking and a 3 percent increase in attendance – over the 2014 fair’s record-setting 67.9% increase in attendance.

The fair this year is offering new exhibits, amusement park-quality rides, new fun food items and exceptional weather, noted Pamela Fyock, chief executive officer of the fair.

“I’m told the fair has never had these cool temperatures,” Fyock said. “The weather and the best fair ever will contribute to a great week as we continue to build attendance.”
